Customer Feedback

Neil Martin was very professional, and he gave us lots of ideas.  He was very knowledgeable of KS1 requirements.  Neil was always available to discuss our needs.

The Staff and Governors at Guestling were really impressed by how smooth everything went.  When we had a few problems, Fawns sorted out everything.

We would definitely use Fawns again for future projects.

BACKGROUND

Guestling Bradshaw CE Primary School is situated in a semi-rural area between Hastings and Rye in East Sussex.

The schools main vision statement is learning together, furthering knowledge, while nurturing resilience and positive attitudes needed to thrive and become life-long learners.

PROJECT BRIEF

The school wanted to develop their playground to inspire all the children in Reception, Year 1 and 2. They wanted to design a playground that would enhance outdoor play, physical activity and create a fun environment where children develop their communication and imagination.

THE DESIGN PROCESS

The school had been raising funds through the PTA and grant applications.

Our local play consultant Neil discussed plans and ideas with the school business manager and gave lots of suggestions on how best to use the space, ensuring maximum play value whilst still achieving learning outcomes the school required.

A 3d visual of the proposed new play area was presented to the school, and with a couple of small amendments, the desired design was agreed and the process to install the exciting new play space could begin.
