Frequently Asked Questions

We understand that starting out on a new school playground project can be daunting for some. To help you get your project off the ground we have compiled a list of some of the most frequently asked questions to help you understand what to look out for and ensure your new dream playground is a resounding success.

Q – Does all of your play equipment comply with the latest safety guidelines?

A – Of course! Safety is at the heart of everything we do. All of our play equipment is designed, manufactured and installed in strict compliance with BSEN1176. This means it’s for safe use in public spaces.

We also provide a variety of different surfacing options which have also been tested in accordance with the industry guidelines for safety surfacing, BSEN1177.

Q – Will I need to treat the timber on an annual basis?

A – All of our machine rounded timber is specifically sourced for its strength, longevity and low maintenance qualities. By using the latest technology, our machine rounded timber is supplied with a 15 year guarantee. Added bonus; there is no requirement to treat the timber on an annual basis.

Q – Do I need to pay a deposit or money up front for my playground project?

A  – Working closely with schools for over 30 years, we have built a reputation for providing high quality, low maintenance products that are built to last. We understand how hard it can be for schools to raise the necessary funds for a playground project, therefore we strive to provide our best prices possible at all times. We don’t use any early payment gimmicks or demands for payment up front.

Q – Can you install the play equipment during school term-time?

A – Absolutely! We have a specialist team of playground installers who work in schools all year round. Prior to your installation we will carry out a pre-works site survey and agree with you any particular requirements you wish. From our experience, a term time installation is a great learning opportunity for the children to see the transformation taking place. Our installation team enjoy being asked questions, so that’s highly encouraged!

Q – Can you arrange for my play equipment to be inspected on an annual basis?

A – As part of our after sales service we can arrange for a independent RPII qualified inspector to carry out a full inspection of your school play equipment on an annual basis. We will even schedule in to give you call when your next inspection is due!

Q – Should I look out for any particular accreditations when sourcing a play company?

A – We always recommend our customers carry out due diligence and background checks on suppliers prior to making a final decision. Have a look out at Association of Play Industry (API) api-play.org. This is an independent organisation set up to offer impartial advice to anyone looking to purchase play equipment.

Q – What should I do if I can’t see my question on your Frequently Asked Questions?
