Project Descriptions

Stanhope Primary School turned to us when they wanted to improve the facilities for their EYFS and KS1 children. For the EYFS area, the Pick Up Sticks 1 unit struck the ideal balance. It was a happy medium between physical challenge and spontaneous role play opportunity. The nature of the climbing frame allowed children to formulate their own risk assessments while navigating their way round it. This means that they can make it as easy or as difficult as they wanted. The non-prescriptive design also meant that the children could use their imagination much more whilst playing.
The challenge in the KS1 area was that their existing bark pit had become very tired and the equipment wasn’t providing the necessary challenge. After excavating the area we installed an exciting trim trail that maximised the available space perfectly. Our lustrous artificial grass was the perfect safety surface that allowed the children to access the trail in all weathers. A further area was created by removing some old log stockade and installing some roll over bars and more artificial grass turning a muddy inaccessible slope into a great usable space.
