Project Descriptions
When their previous play area was coming to the end of its life, Downsview Primary School in South London asked Fawns to work with a landscape architect to create a play area which would offer challenging play and social opportunities for children of all year groups.
The results were an amazing transformation, creating a colourful playscape featuring equipment which offers the children the opportunity to fine-tune a range of skills enhancing their confidence, independence and resilience.
It was a pleasure to meet some of the articulate intelligent pupils who showed us how they get the most out of the new play area.
