Customer Feedback

“The project was well managed from start to end. The design phase was very interactive with the wishes of the school being met by the designer. When it came to the construction phase, the installation went up without any trouble at all and the area was completed quicker than we anticipated. All the workers were cheerful and easy to talk too. We were very happy with how the project went and the children were delighted with their new outside area.”

BACKGROUND

Situated in the historic market town of Farnham, Surrey, Badshot Lea Village Infant School offers an inspiring setting for young learners. With its focus on the core values of Belonging, Respect, Honesty, Trust, Courage, and Equality, the school creates a warm and welcoming atmosphere where children can flourish. The dedicated staff strive to respect each child’s well-being, ensuring that they feel safe, valued, and happy.

PROJECT BRIEF

The Year 1 outdoor area was an uninspiring space that was no longer sparking the children’s imagination. The space had great potential, but the space had been overlooked for some time and it was clear it needed to be restored.

A project was initiated with the goal of transforming it into an engaging and stimulating environment. Creating a more appealing outdoor area, the school aimed to encourage the children’s natural curiosity and foster a love of learning through play.

THE DESIGN PROCESS

The school had Devolved Capital (DFC) funding in place that had been accumulated over a couple of years.

As existing customers of Fawns, Badshot Lea Village School was already familiar with our commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.

The local play consultant met with the School Business Manager to collaborate on the design and functionality of the new play space. Together, they reviewed the existing space and considered the specific needs of the school, including how the space would be used for both play and outdoor learning.

Following these discussions, Fawns presented a detailed design proposal and quotation to the school. Based on our extensive experience in the industry and our ability to deliver high-quality solutions within budget, the school selected Fawns to undertake the project.
