Walsh Memorial C of E Infant School
Teachers at Walsh Memorial C of E Infant School wanted to encourage the children to have active playtimes.
Having been pleased with Fawns previously Head Teacher, Suzie Cawson, didn’t hesitate to take their brochure to the PTA and the school council to see if they were interested in supporting fundraising for the project.
Everyone agreed that money raised should benefit all the children at the school and that the Marco Polo and Jolly Roger would certainly do that.
Fawns provided a detailed design of the new area to be displayed at fundraising events which reassured the parents that the money being raised was going to be well spent for their children’s enjoyment.
The Marco Polo was the main focus at all events and advertising that fact, caused much excitement amongst the parents.
Originally choosing a plastic based frame, Fawns informed the school that a new wooden frame was being launched. Swapping to the wooden frame meant that the new play area was much more in keeping with the existing play equipment.
Suzie Cawson comments “The staff at Fawns are always friendly and helpful. Most importantly, the children like the new equipment, they use it all the time!â€Â
