Taurus Mound

The Taurus Mound includes a climbing wall, pull up rope and log ladder to allow the children to climb to the top of the mound and access the slide.

Physical Development: Climbing over the soft grass hill and crawling through the exciting tunnel helps children develop their gross motor skills, lower body strength, and coordination. The unit encourages climbing and risk taking, promoting physical fitness.
Communication and Language: Standing on the top of the mound provides children with a new perspective of their outdoor environment. This experience helps them develop positional language, expanding their vocabulary with words like over, under, beside, and beneath.

The Taurus Mound enables children to climb over the soft grass hill and slide down the side. This develops their gross motor skills, lower body strength and co-ordination. Standing on the top of the mound helps children gain a new perspective of the whole outdoor space from a height. This develops their ‘positional language’ encouraging vocabulary such as over, under, beside, or beneath. It also helps their core strength, balance and co-ordination, as well as gripping and grasping.

With the added feature of sliding, an extra element of excitement is added to this play tunnel.
