Taurus Mound

The Taurus Mound includes a climbing wall, pull up rope and log ladder to allow the children to climb to the top of the mound and access the slide.

The product enables children to climb over the soft grass hill and slide down the side. This develops their gross motor skills, lower body strength and co-ordination. Standing on the top of the mound helps children gain a new perspective of the whole outdoor space from a height. This develops their ‘positional language’ encouraging vocabulary such as over, under, beside, or beneath. It also helps their core strength, balance and co-ordination, as well as gripping and grasping.

Climbing over the mound helps children build confidence, take risks and learn what their body can do. It also encourages problem-solving and predicting what might happen next.
