Log Climber – Supporting Development Through Play

This versatile play unit allows children to climb over the top and navigate back down the other side, helping to develop gross motor skills, lower body strength, coordination, and hand-eye control through gripping and grasping. From the elevated top, children gain a fresh perspective of the outdoor space, which supports their understanding of positional language and encourages vocabulary such as over, under, beside, and beneath.

Climbing the Log Climber also helps children build confidence, take safe risks, and discover what their bodies are capable of. Along the way, it encourages problem-solving, critical thinking, and predicting what might happen next, turning active play into an engaging learning experience.
