Northamptonshire
Suitability:
KS1
EYFS
Project Descriptions

We were extremely privileged to be invited back to Hackleton CEVA Primary School, an outstanding village school in Northamptonshire, to see for ourselves the transformation of their outdoor play space over the February half-term.
After some inspired fundraising by the school’s parent-led fundraising committee, the HAS, and a number of successful grant applications including the Big Lottery Fund’s Awards for All scheme, the school had a previously muddy area of their playground developed into a challenging adventure play space with mounds, tunnels, high-level climbing frames and an open-ended log multi-play unit.
The new area ensures every child has the opportunity to reach their full potential every day not just in the classroom, but at break times too. We were astounded at the confidence and levels of ability shown by these year one and two children, with teachers commenting on the improvements they had witnessed to the children’s gross motor skills in such a short space of time playing on the equipment.
