The project we got involved with at West Bridgford Infant School in Nottingham involved clearing away existing equipment which was reaching the end of it’s life and designing a play space that would offer challenge and open ended play opportunities for children at both early years and years one and two. James Halewood, Area Sales Manager, working with key stakeholders at the school incorporated our pick up sticks unit which was versatile enough to offer both challenge and role play opportunities, and our Takamaka play den. The area was further enhanced with planters, our Messy Kitchen role play unit, stand alone shelter and fencing.
The school had to work really hard to get the funding for the playground upgrade calling on various grants with significant help from the PTA.
