Fitness and Adventure Trails

As the accepted market leader of fitness and adventure trails, it is easy to see why our trails set the standard others aspire to. Produced with high quality timber from sustainable sources, the natural tactile nature of the wood appeals to the children as well as to the aesthetics one generally expects to see in the school environment. By listening to what stimulates and challenges children and taking into consideration the changing safety concerns our in house design team has continued to improve the designs of the apparatus since their inception 18 years ago.

Low level trails are designed to challenge all abilities while requiring only minimal safer surfacing (no surface at all when installed directly onto grass). The high level elements teach children to appreciate, assess and take calculated risks, which is seen as being fundamental to the development of their confidence and ability, all within an environment free of unacceptable risk. Our Sports Challenge trails are designed to add the potential for competitive physical education, with their twin parallel trail layouts. However, if competition is not what you are looking for, then these extremely good value trails will provide you with nearly twice the capacity of a regular single line trail.

As always, the emphasis is on individual needs, and we have the ability to create bespoke trails, specific to the requirements of the individual school and the idiosyncrasies of the particular location. We often work in conjunction with the schools student council to produce designs that they themselves show preference for, allowing the students to take ownership and design an important part in their choice of play equipment.

Our standard trails have been designed with the abilities of all children in mind, ensuring that the equipment is as inclusive as possible. Ultimately it is about exercise as fun, as well as our desires to see assist the child in their development of good physical and mental health.
