We were lucky to be involved in a large scale project at Weddington Primary School in Warwickshire. They wanted to revitalise their outdoor space, creating an area that gave physical challenge, a quiet area with shade and a communication, knowledge and understanding area. Graeme, the area sales manager, worked with the early years team to design a space that was both low maintenance and able to be used all year round.  We installed one of our open ended non-prescriptive pick up sticks climbers to offer physical challenge, a simple sail away canopy and artificial grass to create their quiet area. The communication, knowledge and understanding area includes our water play combination which provides the tools for the children to work together in terms of transporting the materials from one side to the other. Musical instruments and a stage provide a role play area. Planters, weather pods and bug magnifiers offer the children a chance to enhance their knowledge of the world around them.  The school, children and parents love the transformation that has taken place in the area.
