D.I.Y FUNDRAISING ACTIVITES....

Get creative - design a fundraising wall chart complete with a thermometer so the whole school can track the progress of their fundraising activities.  Get the children to form a fundraising committee, maybe involve the school council if you have one, they can help come up with their own ideas - it will give them an even greater sense of achievement to know that they have contributed towards raising funds towards their new play equipment.  Here are a few ideas to get you started....

Cheese & Wine Evening....
Combine parent's evening with a cheese & wine evening, ask your local wine shop to donate wine and deli for cheese in return for advertisement on the night.  Ask parents to contribute a donation, you could even hold a raffle on the night....

Cake Sale....
Parents, grandparents are always happy to bake cakes in aid of children.  You can then sell them after school....a small charge for a few tasty treats always go down well!

Indulgence Evening....
Hold an evening of pampering, invite local beauticians to donate their services for the evening....

Big Events....
Concentrate on one or two big events.  Get as many parents involved to help, perhaps a summer fayre.... where the parents can do face painting, lend a bouncy castle, run a BBQ - you could invite the whole village along....

Sponsored Obstacle Course....
Get out all of your school's activities such as trampolines, trikes, skipping ropes, put out a few cones and you have a fun obstacle course for the children - family members can sponsor the child for each track completion....

Toy Sales....
Ask parents to clear out their children's toy cupboards and bring them to the school to be sold.  The children can run the stalls and count up all the money themselves....
